Weekend in Barcelona

Spend a relaxing weekend in Barcelona, a city with both city beach and great shopping. There is plenty to see and experience in Barcelona, and this destination is perfect if you are a single traveller. Most of the people you meet within the service field in Barcelona know English so ordering food or drinks and shopping are not an issue.

All along the great streets La Rambla and Gracia are a lot of shops and high end stores as well as many restaurants with outdoor serving and hotels. The centre area is big but you can actually walk everywhere between all the points of interests, although there is a subway system available and taxi is quite cheap compared to other European countries.

Beach time on Barceloneta

The city beach in Barcelona is called Barceloneta and is very long and very popular during the summer months. The weather is nice from May to October. In the far end of the photo you see the famous hotel W Barcelona, they may have the best spot in Barcelona!
