Spend a weekend in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and see monuments from the times of WW2 and Cold War. The Germans has a turbulent history but yet they have rebuilt Berlin and the city is now a capital of the world with lot’s of tourists visiting every year and youngsters heading here for great parties.
There are severals sights, and lots of amazing buildings in all corners of the city. There is a great subway line (u-bahn) to take you across the city so you don’t have to walk everywhere, even though that might be the most common way to experience Berlin. Rental bikes are also popular, some hotels offer this service.
Berlin is perfect for a weekend trip, if you live in other countries of Europe you will most likely find cheap airfare through many low price companies. It is safe to walk around and travel around the city, no matter if you are on your own or with company. The germans are friendly and talkative (either in German or trying out English)!
